May 16, 2012 - ESFD responded to a reported traffic accident on Highway 42 N. near the YMCA. E-143 arrived to find a vehicle
off the roadway, in a wooded area, with the driver entrapped. ESFD extricated the driver, assisted RCEMS with patient care, and
mitigated vehicle hazards. 1415 (Brown) had command. E-241, SHP, and Ash-Rand Rescue were also on scene.
May 3, 2012 - ESFD responded at the request of Franklinville Fire to establish an LZ for Carolina Air Care while they were
operating at a pin-in on Iron Mountain Rd. E-191 and E-241 established an LZ at the intersection of Buffalo Ford Rd. and Mount
Tabor Church Rd. Chief 14 ( Hoffman) had LZ command.
April 24, 2012 - ESFD responded to a reported traffic accident on Old NC Hwy. 13. E-193 arrived to find one vehicle in the
wooded area with two patients. Crews gained access to driver's door, provided patient care, and mitigated vehicle hazards. 1426
(Aymond) had command. E-241, Ash-Rand Rescue, RCEMS, and SHP were also on scene.
April 4, 2012 - ESFD responded to a vehicle accident as a result of a police chase on Cane Mill Rd. E-193 arrived to find a
vehicle that had rolled in a sharp curve ejecting both occupants. ESFD provided patient care, mitigated vehicle hazards, and
provided a driver for RCEMS. Chief 14 (Hoffman) had command. E-143, RCSO, and SHP were also on scene.
April 1, 2012 - ESFD responded to assist Coleridge-Erect Fire with a reported structure fire. Units arrived to find a working
residential fire. ESFD crews assisted with fire attack while T-191, T-194, and E-241 assisted with water supply. Chief 9 (Davis)
had command. Bennet Fire, RCEMS, SHP, and RCFMO were also on scene.
March 9, 2012 - ESFD responded to a reported traffic accident with fire on Henley Country Rd. E-141 arrived to find a vehicle
overturned and fully involved. Crews stretched a line, quickly extinguished the fire, and assisted with patient care. FF Auman had
command. T-194, RCEMS, RCSO, and SHP were also on scene.
January 6, 2012 - ESFD responded to assist Seagrove Fire on scene of a working woods fire involving an outbuilding on
Seagrove Plank Rd. ESFD crews assisted with fire attack, overhaul, and water supply. Ulah Fire, RCEMS, RCFMO, and NCFS
were also on scene. T-142 handled a residential fire alarm in station 6's first due during the incident.
January 3, 2012 - ESFD responded to assist Ramseur Fire with a commercial fire alarm on Foushee Rd. E-41 arrived to find a
working fire in the ceiling of a large commercial building being held in check by the sprinkler system. ESFD crews assisted with fire
attack, overhaul, and water removal. FF Coleman had command. Franklinville Fire, Staley Fire, RCEMS, RCFMO, and RPD were
also on scene.
December 13, 2011 - ESFD responded to a reported vehicle fire on Cane Mill Rd. near Old NC Hwy. 13. DC-14 arrived to find a
pickup truck fully involved. T-142 arrived shortly after with a crew of 5 and extinguished the fire. Crews mopped-up and stoodby
until SHP arrived. DC-14 (Cox) had command.
December 11, 2011 - ESFD responded to a reported vehicle accident on Hwy. 42 S. T-142 arrived to find a vehicle down the
embankment with one patient complaining of minor injuries. Ash-Rand R-1 arrived and assisted with moving patient uphill using a
stokes basket. ESFD provided patient care, mitigated vehicle hazards, and traffic control. FF Auman had command. RCEMS and
SHP were also on scene.
November 24, 2011 - ESFD responded to a reported woods fire on Spoons Chapel Rd. T-242 arrived to find a working woods
fire behind a residence. Crews established a fire line, protected exposures, and mopped up hot spots. The fire was held under an
acre. 1426 (Aymond) had command. NCFS also responded.
November 23, 2011 - While responding to a service call, T-142 witnessed a single vehicle leave the roadway and travel down an
embankment. Crews arrived to find 2 patients free of the vehicle with minor injuries. ESFD provided patient care mitigated
hazards, and assisted with traffic control. FF Allred had command. RCEMS and SHP were also on scene.
November 18, 2011 - ESFD, along with automatic aid, responded to a reported residential structure fire on Randolph
Tabernacle Rd. Units arrived to find fire in the wall due to a faulty flue. Crews gained access to the chimney and extinguished the
fire. Minor overhaul was required. 1421 (Husband) had command. Franklinville and Westside Fire provided apparatus and
manpower.
November 10, 2011 - ESFD responded to assist Ulah Fire on a reported structure fire. AC-11 arrived to find a working
residential structure fire. ESFD crews assisted with fire attack, overhaul, and a standby at sta. 11. AC-11 (Robbins) had
command. Asheboro Fire, RCEMS, RCFMO, SHP, and RCSO were also on scene.
October 19, 2011 - ESFD responded to a reported traffic accident on Iron Mountain Rd. E-241 arrived to find a vehicle vs.
building with moderate damage. Crews assisted with patient care, mitigating vehicle hazards, and ensuring the building was
structurally sound. Chief 14 (Hoffman) had command. RCEMS and SHP were also on scene.
October 18, 2011 - ESFD responded to a reported traffic accident on Hwy. 42 S. at Little Beane Store Rd. Crews arrived to find a
vehicle that had left the roadway due to the driver suffering a severe medical emergency. Due to injuries and the initial medical
emergency, an LZ was established for Carolina Air Care at the scene. DC-19 (McDonald) had command at the scene. DC-14
(Cox) had command at the LZ. RCEMS and SHP were also on scene.
October 17, 2011 - ESFD responded to a reported structure fire on Spinks Rd.. Units arrived to find heavy fire and smoke
showing from a single-wide mobile home. Crews made an interior attack to stop the spread of fire. Extensive overhaul was
required. Chief 14 (Hoffman) had command. 824 (Hunt) handled the investigation. Franklinville Fire, Seagrove Fire, Coleridge-
Erect Fire, and RCEMS were also on scene.
September 30, 2011 - ESFD responded to a traffic accident on the entrance to the NC Zoo. E-241 and T-142 arrived to find an
SUV vs. Coca-Cola truck. ESFD assisted zoo rangers and RCEMS with packaging and loading the patient, controlled fluid leaks,
and assisted SHP with traffic control. 1415 (Brown) had command.
September 14, 2011 - ESFD responded to a traffic accident on Iron Mountain Rd. at Spoons Chapel Rd. E-241 arrived to find a
2 vehicle accident with an active diesel fuel leak from one vehicle. Crews assisted RCEMS with patient care and controlled the fuel
leak. 14-A (Lambe) had command. SHP and RCEM were also on scene.
September 13, 2011 - ESFD responded to assist Franklinville Fire on a reported structure fire on McQueen Rd. E-8 arrived to
find an abandoned mobile home fully involved. ESFD crews assisted with fire attack, overhaul, and water supply. Chief 8 (Dixon)
had command. Staley Fire, RCEMS, RCFMO, and RCSO were also on scene.
July 27, 2011 - ESFD responded to a house fire on Vista Pkwy. E-143 arrived to find heavy fire showing from a 2-story residential
structure. Crews attacked the fire on the first floor and then went defensive so Tower 24 could deploy its master stream on the
second floor and attic. FF Brown and FF Campbell shared command. Franklinville Fire, Ulah Fire, West Side Fire, RCFMO, and

July 4, 2011 - ESFD responded to assist Franklinville Fire with a working woods fire involving an abandoned structure on
Goldston Rd. Due to limited access, B-197 was used for fire attack and overhaul. T-242 assisted with water haul. Chief 8 (Dixon)
had command. NCFS and RCEMS were also on scene.
June 22, 2011 - ESFD responded to a mobile home fire on Grantville Ln. with a reported life hazard. E-241 arrived to find a
working mobile home fire. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and contained it to the living room area. A search of the home came
up negative and the homeowner was located outside. 1415 (Brown) had command. 824 (Hunt) handled the investigation.
Franklinville Fire and RCEMS were also on scene.
June 17, 2011 - ESFD responded to a traffic accident at the intersection of Highway 64 E. & E. Presnell St. T-242 and E-193
arrived to find a passengar car vs. a tractor trailer with one patient deceased. Crews mitigated vehicle hazards and assisted SHP
with lighting. 1415 (Brown) had command. RCEMS and Ash-Rand Rescue were also on scene.
ESFD would like to offer its condolences to the family of the deceased.
June 14, 2011 - ESFD responded to a vehicle fire on Rilla St. T-242 arrived to find a working fire in the engine compartment of a
passengar car. Crews stretched a bumper line to extinguish the fire. 14-A Lambe had command. T-191 and E-241 were also on
